funk TV

funk is the online-only youth program by the two German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF (Junges Angebot von ARD und ZDF). It was launched on October 1st 2016 and is the first online-only offering by the German public broadcasters. As a addition to the mobile app, we now developed the Android app funk TV which makes it possible to directly access the funk media offering on Android TVs. The design for the TV app was done by Studio GOOD.

Users can browse the complete funk program on their TV, sorted by categories, play videos and find their watching history in “Recently watched”. Users will also get video recommendations based on their watched content.

The app is availible on Amazon Fire TV and Google Android TV.
